Some social commentry here I guess, some file I had, for some reason, in early 2003 I guess, anyway, here it is:
Precautions Against Anthrax
Anthrax is a dangerous disease that is usually transmitted to humans through close contact with animals that have the virus. These animals are called 'carriers'. The 'carriers' vary from cows, buffaloes, donkeys, horses, goats, sheep most other mammals with considerable hair. The Anthrax virus enters our body through cuts, abrasions, scratches, bruises, cuts, or any other superficial injury. We can also inhale it, or it may enter our body through whatever opening there may be in the human anatomy. This virus is potentially fatal, and has no known cure. A qualified doctor's advise is recommended if the patient shows any one or more of the following symptoms.
Excessive vomiting
Head ache
Excessive itching
Red rashes, or patches
Skin develops an unnatural stretching ability
Cramps
Excessive desire for sweets
Dazed look in eyes
A qualified medical practitioner alone will know the proper course of action to be taken. Once a patient is identified and separated, utmost care should be taken towards quarantining the patient and the surroundings in which he picked up the virus. A special task force should be called (999- 156744822-01) that will clean the area before further human contact.
It should be understood that the patient has a terminal illness and that care should be taken that he is not exposed to vulnerable conditions that could worsen the problem.
Under the current circumstances, it is highly dangerous to come in contact with any rough, white powder. Please report, any such suspected substances to the special hotline already mentioned. Thank you for your co-operation.
