About a very good today

Most amazing day possible. Got up not very early. Watch has stopped working because of the chowpatty trip, even though it is a Timex Fastrack watch which is waterproof upto 100 m and is ideal of swimming and snorkling, but not good for diving. Atleast that is what is written on the box that it came in. so I was checking my watch, even though it was sort of stuck, and had to resort to the timer on my cell... Anyway, so got up, watched full house and had the intention of going to sion, college, and then st for some gpo work that bala had, then to the british council library then back home. I went to dombivili instead because bala could not come, and played burnout on playstation 2 in some crappy video parlor...
Then went to bala's house, which was a really long walk. House is a nice cozy one. Had amazing food with him, and found out that an old school friend is his cousin...
Then heard him play a bit of a veena or santoor or something. Wanted to try MI2 on it, but couldn't. Then headed over on his scooter, which ran out of petrol, and which he didn't know to ride very well... to what he called "trekking" it turned out to be a temple on a rock. It was what - a twenty metre climb maybe. But we headed over to the other side of the temple, which was a place where they burnt animal carcasses so we stumbled upon some HUGE bones - we recognized most of them, and hid them in a place for later retrieval. The pile of bones - mostly arm, leg, vertebrae, a pectoral girdle, and some really large teeth. Its in the direct line of the temple, a pretty prominant tree, and a frew overhanging rocks. The bones are in a pile under the rocks. I got home three small bones. Two I-don't-know-whats and a tooth. It has a single base, but is bifid. Maybe from a cow... or a horse. Will probably use it as a pendant. I donno. Anyway, after scavenging for bones, we went over terrain that would have been quicksand during the monsoon. The ground was sinking beneath our feet anyway. Then we headed over to the railway tracks nearby, where the train takes a HUGE turn around a curve towards diva. We sat on the tracks for a while, and bala was remembering the college days gone by - he became pretty nostalgic. It was a nice place - there were various birds below us, and cattle were grazing, and the skyline of the city was far away. There was grease on the sides of the tracks though, dirtied a bit of my hand. We heard the train coming long before it actually came. The tracks vibrate like hell, especially if you are on it. I kept a two rupee coin on the tracks. It disappeared when I went back. then we headed over to the temple - called gaondevi temple. Bala went somewhere to pee. The temple was n this small hillock... and a cow had suddenly come to the place where we had piled the bones. The cows were pretty far away when we left the place. I got scared - but bala wasn't. I didn't tell anything though. We headed over to the temple... and managed to climb on top of a watertank nearby. I lay down and bala was sitting. I removed my shoes - and that's how sand from the chowpatty beach reached the top of the watertank for gaondevi mandir. watched the sunset - and the moonrise from there. The moon had already risen - and again, we could see the railway tracks far away, the cattle grazing looking really small now, and a couple of the hills around the place. There was a digger or whatever one of those cunstruction machines nearby, by even thhat somehow added to the scenery. Basically, I couldn't believe I was still in Mumbai. Will go there again - but have only twenty days to do so - bala is going to ahift to thane soon. Damn. will go there anyway - amazing placee. There is this two-three minutes just after the sun has set, and the horizon just has a hint of redness when the moon suddenly gets brighter by a few degrees, and actually shines. Was cool to watch, but it was getting late.
Came home. Damn. LEft bala on the scooter near the rickshaw stand - made him stop by wobbling the scooter. Feel like an asshole for doing that - he wanted me to go to his house... but that would have made me too damn late. Caught the train home. was dark, so was reading jam I picked from the dombivili station. The scenery between mumbra and dombivili is amazing - and so many people get to watch it EVERY SINGLE DAY.
damn.
Went to karnavat classes and found out the timings for BMM tommorrow - 1:30 to 3:00. that hinders the plans for the movie. donno what to do... the movie is million dollar baby. Came home by powar nagar, and ah well... am here now.
got scolded by amma for not eating anything she had prepared. Damn.
