Hi Jaggu n Tarana, I listen to your show daily (almost) while driving to office but this is the first time I am writing to you guys. Tarana have been vociferous about how 'wrong' is India TV about the sting operations. She is focussing on the invasion of privacy!! Think of it Tarana!! Which crime or exploitation happens publicly? They always happen in privacy and if you keep talking about privacy then nothing will ever be exposed! Why should law catch a rapist, who would rape a woman privately? Did you know that having sex with a woman after making false promises amounts to 'rape' in the Indian Penal Code? You have a good voice Tarana, I wish you were well read too!

Hey come on, shakti Kapoor is a rapist now? That is exactly why such media needs to be controlled... I feel sorry for Shakti Kapoor though - why all the flak? What makes everyone so sure that Shakti was the one making all the covert advances... any crappy old team with a camera and a girl can capture anything they want... If they stick at it and use unethical methods. It took SIX months of advances from that girl before he agreed to come. Any one else would have fallen too. He is also human... and I am not denying the existance of a casting couch... the entire world is generally moving towards sexual perversion... what I am saying is that there should be a control on stings and the methoods they use to gain such footage. The worst thing about the whole issue is the lack of support from the industry. No one should have reacted to such sensationalist journalism with no other purpose than to defame an individual... those three producers should not have banned him - Amit Khanna, Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai - for me, these three people who apparently are the entire "producers guild of India" have come off in worse light than shakti kapoor. By the way dude, invasion of privacy and defamation are both crimes. If shakti was a rapist, I'm sure we would have heard about this before - without the use of hidden cameras ok?

I didn't read the last part properly... I am sure that the Indian penal code does define rape as "having sex with a woman after making false promises." Saying that was so funny of you man! I wish YOU were well read man... I think rape is defined more along the lines of "The carnal knowledge of a woman by a man (or vice versa) forcibly and unlawfully against her/his will" That's how the U.S. law defines it anyway. Most women probably won't have sex after such "promises" - but it does NOT amount to rape if such promises aren't fullfilled. Some ADULTS have sex for mutual benefit apart from just... you know... like the third marriage of Donald Trump for example. Just because you can't stomach that... anyway, the casting couch does NOT involve rape. That was the way to get into the indistry anyway. Initially, the actresses used to sleep with gangsters who gave a little ring to the producers, then the girls thought it would be a better idea to sleep with the producers directly. Now the gangsters, feeling sorry for themselves are staging sting operations to catch the producers. The sting was conducted in an unethical method. This was a JOKE, in case you are dumb enough NOT to get it...
