Customary book+lightsabres!

One long eye straining day today. Read 2001: A space odyssey. Sometimes, it is cool to skip ahead and read the ending... because I was stupid enough to miss the coolest thing about the book the first few times I read it. The book is divided into two sections, one very far into the past and the other a little into the future, but one that has already passed because we are beyond that now... like 2001.


Anyway, so there is a parallel in the endings in both the parts which I totally missed. Clarke makes you think about a lot of things, for example: In the long slow dance of the cosmos, does the combined mental efforts of man really matter OR are the mental efforts of men the ONLY thing that matter in this empty and dead cosmos.

Started with deep range, but moved on to some serious Jedi Action. Remember cunstructing my own lightsabre last vacations, and blogging about it. It is probably the simplest lightsabre to make.







which Jedi Wannabe would be fucking foolhardy enough to take on an AT-AT walker with only a lightsabre? And come to think of it, this is not even an AT-AT walker. AT-ATs are those big thingies with four legs, only REAL Star Wars freaks would know it - I play the game only for the gameplay. Weaseling out like a stupid loser, before you point that out.



But hey, I took on one of them walkers with only a lightsabre...
