DnD Into the Netherdeep Session 16

We head to the library, and see an orc reading something behind a large wooden desk. Prolix tells us that the librarian's name is Kimmeh. Kimmeh takes Rangu and Rara to the restricted section. They look through the records about a ring. Kimmeh finds evidence of an expedition two months ago, where Anbara Flintbreaker and Idris Lornen. The expedition was accosted by thieves, and objects were stolen, headed by Lymmle Wist. He tells us about a new faction known as Sentinels of Memory, who believe Cael Marrow is a prison, and there is a monster or kraken down there, and that it must be shut off.

Some people believe that the ruler of the city is J'mon Sa Ord, there are flat earthers, there is a forest nearby with connections to the Fey Realm. It is nice to talk about it, and it makes for good fairy tales. Rara asks if the librarian is good with "Two Truths and a Lie". Kimmeh invites Rangu and Rara go through the records.

All the redactions are in expeditions led by Wist. I read Moby Dick written by a Slant. I speed read it but cannot understand much. One chapter is about hard tack, another about vomiting, one about hallucinations.

We ask around and find Flintbraker and Idris in a room of the Crystal Chateau. It is a big, old, dusty room. Both of them have been knocked out, and they do not remember much of what has happened. Woolf does some magic on Flintbreaker and he remembers that he was under a spell, and he encountered a ruffian. We restore magic on Idris as well, who remembers what happened. He remembers that the ring was stolen. Wist was there when we got up, and helped us.

We are onto Wist. We then go meet Wist. We try talking to them, and notice that there is a red mark on his finger. Two guards join in to arrest Wist.

The situation escalates, Rara and Rangu try to get Wist to stand down, but she runs away. I go on an involuntary journey of self-discovery, then manage to dispel her magic. Wist commits suicide by becoming an artificial sun.
