Fan theories in videogames

 The Indoctrination Theory (Mass Effect series): This theory suggests that the ending of Mass Effect 3 is actually a hallucination caused by the Reapers, who are indoctrinating Commander Shepard.

The Link is Dead Theory (The Legend of Zelda series): This theory suggests that the Link character in the series is actually a reincarnation of a previous hero, and that each new game features a different iteration of the hero.

The Ash Ketchum Coma Theory (Pokémon series): This theory suggests that Ash Ketchum is actually in a coma throughout the series, and that his adventures in the Pokémon world are just a dream.
