Rangu and Jazco wake up in the morning and heads to the temple of Avandra. There are people there preparing for some journey. Some old elven lady asks if everyone has their walking sticks ready, and everyone does. Rangu tries to see if there is an imposter or someone who does not belong. A lot of people here are dressed like Question. Rangu cannot immediately any marks of Avandra on everyone. The old elven lady has braided knee-length hair.
The name of the lady is Ruby Wombat. She has a scrunchie-hairclip with the mark of Avandra on it. She goes towards the well, comes back with two sticks and waterbags. Rangu sends back Frank to check with Yazhi on what we plan to do for the day. Frank is getting stares from people as not many people have seen Cherubs.
Woolf is struggling to make breakfast with a chulha and a pile of dung cakes. There are some utensils and baskets with shriveled up vegetables. Prolix seems like he would be in his 40s. The smell of breakfast wafts up from somewhere. Woolf stumbles to a restaurant with a lot desert plants in front of it. The place is almost full, and busy. Every once in a while there are bursts of fire. There is an overwhelming smell of garlic, meats and eggs.
There is a board with fancy, intricate lettering that says "Step Aside".
Woolf sees an old elven woman standing behind the counter and yelling instructions. "Is the bacon done? We need another batch of eggs." Old elven woman talks to Woolf, who asks for a takeaway. Woolf asks for six breakfast value meals. The old woman is covered in scars. Woolf keeps jumping every time an item from the menu is read out.
Old lady calculates the amount to 3GP. Woolf pays 4GP, then asks "Are you an adventurer?", she says "Me and my husband used to be Mercenaries, now we just run this humble establishment."
Rangu walks through a surprisingly busy area of the city, the Sigil district that houses the Allegiance. He can see what looks like Alakritos talking to another person wearing the same coloured robes as him. The cobalt soul HQ is close to the building of the Allegiance.
Ruby and Rangu literally parkour and walk through the city. Ruby tells Rangu to get four signs of Avandra to get an excorcism and everyone fist bumps rangu before leaving. Rangu flies into the air, re-orients himself, scandalises people in their bedrooms and gets back.
We finish our breakfast. Prolix is getting ready. His house is pretty untidy, but his uniform looks clean and pristine, and we can never imagine that such a clean person can come from such a shabby house. Prolix wants to go back to the headquarters. He tells us that Alakritos will give contract. Alakritos asks us if Prolix is taking good care of us. We are given a contract to sign, that includes lodgings.
Lemy Whist has sent us a letter with the details on the icon. Prolix asks us to get the icon back, its in Ankharel. "Greetings Alakritos! The figurine has been finally been found and has been located at the Curio shop, the Bone Bazaar. Simply send someone to pick it up and bring it back to the Crystal Chateau. -Lemy Whist"
We then go to the Curio shop, where another irritated shop owner from the Bone Bazaar gives us a figurine of an elephant, and gets cursed when touching it to put it into a bag. The elephant turns into a real life sized elephant and destroys the shop. Yazhi casts polymorph on the elephant and turns it into a turtle, and Jazco carries it off to Alakritos carefully, without hurting it, while being invisible. Two of the guards catch me and Rangu but Rangu dimension doors us out of there. Alakritos gets his unpaid interns to get rid of the elephant problem, and assures us that the owner of the Bone Bazaar will be compensated, and that he will have a word with the captain of the guards.
There is celebration all around for a job well done.
