DnD Netherdeep volume 14

Alakritos ushers us back to his office, and asks Prolix to make tea. Alakritos wants to go over the contract that we have signed. We are to be given badges and uniforms, and our stay in Ankharel is going to be free of cost till we are members.

Then he tells us that Allegiance Members are allowed to visit a city underneath the city and excavate the place. The Allegiance is apparently some kind of archaeological organisation excavating an entire city beneath Ankharel, called Cael Morrow. He answers our questions about the organisation and the city.

He gets a box from under the table, which has a bunch of golden heavy metal badges with A written in the local script. We all get. Its 50 gold pieces if we lose them. Prolix brings us tea. We get uniforms, we walk through the River District, Prolix shows us the Life Dome. We are taken to are rooms at the Harried Mongoose.

Woolf and Jazco have some kind of argument about vestiges while going to the River District to find out about some shady people who are against us, called Sentinels of Memory. Rangu, Woolf and Jazco go to a pastry shop. Jazco buys a bag of hardtack for 10 copper. They discover that the owner of the shop is some kind of a strange puppet. Jazco tries to strike a conversation, but the guy is not chatty. Guy discovers that Woolf is probing his mind. He makes Woolf detect visions of middle fingers, and shutters the shop.

On their way back, they cross the bath house. Yazhi, Rara and me get drinks, we see a bunch of Allegiance people here. People talk about the Rubidium elephant, we don't get any new information. The come back, after checking out a bath house on the way.

Prolix has been instructed by Alakritos. Apparently the Allegiance is conducting a massive excavation project in the Sigil District. They have heard rumours of another entrance, that runs through the city oasis, the Life Dome. We have to meed this guy Carlyl Koogan.

The Life Dome is massive, around a 100 feet tall and wide. It is all held together by large polygonal pieces of glass. We get a guided tour of the hydraulics system of Ankharel, with a cloud reservoir. Then we are investigating where the water came from. We are attacked by two invisible creatures. We somehow fight three invisible air monsters.
