Winamp3 feature

Ok, so there is this software called wianmp3 (www.winamp.com) and it has this feature to play random songs in a playlist. There is also an option to tweak the amount of this randomness, more selects the songs from drastically different positions in the playlist, and less hovers around the same place before moving forward. I did not get the reason for this feature, and was using the software for three years now. Winamp5 came out, it had the capability to sport both 2 and 3 skins, and they claimed it was so good that they skipped w4, and then I thought they totally sucked, because w5 had half the features of w3 and was less troublesome in so many small ways like resources used and speed and quality of the music. And it was very difficult to skin for w5.
And then, just to reinforce this point, the useless option actually turned out to be a very cool feature. Supposing, you have the songs arranged in you folder as dance songs, rock songs, pop songs, oldies etc, then selecting the less random option will make sure you hear different music from different artistes, at the same time, moves slowly from one region to another instead of going like metal, oldie, pop, oldie, metal, trance, soundtrack, metal, pop, the songs go more like, oldie, oldie, oldie, soundtrack, soundtrack, pop, pop, pop, rock, rock, metal…. Got it? Its so smooth now, and that was such a clever feature for them to include...
by the way the ACDC song "Are you ready" which I heard compeletely for the first time in the train with Sid, was also in the movie becoming a rockstar, and incidentally, alsoo on my comp and I had cast it aside for all the chigy-like screeching. Chingy is a coplete failure of a star. What bad songs. I actually permadeleted them, and never want to hear them again...
